Sometimes you just need someone you can trust.
That’s why Specialty Windows and Doors and David Bullock, an architect, turned to Rockwood. We’d worked with both of them on several projects previously and they knew we’d be able to handle the specific challenges this new home build would present.
David had designed the home, but based in Columbus, he wasn’t going to be able to be onsite in West Virginia, where it was actually being constructed. Since it was a monumental project for the area, he wanted someone on-hand to make sure that drawings were being interpreted correctly and that the doors were being crafted to his specifications. In addition, the project was speeding along at a pace that didn’t allow room for error and delay.
Rockwood did a fantastic job with the doors and, as a result, was also awarded the contract for the copious amount of trim and millwork throughout the home. John, a Rockwood team member, went onsite in West Virginia, studied the details of the drawing and of the actual space, and was able to calculate the number of trim pieces needed to complete the job, eliminating waste and additional cost on the project.
In the end, we ended up providing all the woodwork in the home, except for the flooring, stairs, and cabinetry, and an intense and involved project went incredibly smoothly because of our efforts.
